Something a bit different because why not? I'm not really moving along very well on my planned album listening anyway. I saw this listicle on Buzzfeed regarding The 10 Most Liked Songs Of All Time On Pandora, featuring links to each of the songs in question. I figured I'd give each a quick listen. Most of the stuff I listen to is far out of the mainstream's public conscious, so if I really want to get into the psyche of people who say they like music every once in a while I should listen to what people are actually listening to.
If you want to hear the music for yourself go to the Buzzfeed article and check out their links. I won't be reposting them here mainly because I don't want to clog up this article with embedded videos.

My 200th Review Flashback!
Another year, another 100 new albums in
the brain. You know what the worst part is? I'm not sure it has been
worth the effort.

Paul Simon - Hearts And Bones (1983)
You should never judge an album by its cover. Still, Hearts And Bones has one of the worst covers I've ever seen. It looks like a VHS still image from a snuff film that's sat in a puddle for ten years. And what the hell is that guy wearing?

The Allman Brothers Band - At Fillmore East (1971)
I'll get in trouble if I don't like this album. This is one of the most iconic live albums of all time by a band everyone seems to love. But I immediately know I'm in trouble when the running time is over and hour and the track list is only 7 songs. It makes me think of easily one of the worst albums I've heard thus far by fellow jam-band The Grateful Dead. Unlike The Grateful Dead I do like a fair amount of Allman Brothers music, so maybe this won't be so bad.
