The Beau Brummels - Triangle (1967)
(originally posted on Facebook)
Sounds like Bob Dylan, almost as bad a singer. At least this guy is on key, but he's just as nasally and has a natural tremelo which drives me nuts. Aside from that I thought this was a lovely album. The opening song starts out like a traditional folk piece, but is taken a step above by a fantastic drumming performance. The drummer does a great job of shifting the groove without being overbearing... unlike the lead vocalist. Actually much of the album is light and understated, a pleasant blend of folk, classical, and psychedelic rock. It's a quick and easy listen especially if you don't mind Bob Dylan's voice. Eh, listen to it anyway. 4 stars.
