Sounds like Latin inspired soft big-beat music. A 4-bar pattern is set up and then repeated with minor variations. Depending on the song there may or may not be Spanish speaking lyrics over top of that, but it's very minimalist. This album is basically an hour of Latin elevator music. The songs have names, but I'm not sure why. With so few lyrics is there really any reason to say these songs are about something? I guess you could say each song is meant to elicit the mood of the title, but the songs are way too similar to each other to evoke anything but the thought of walking around in a stereotypical rough Mexican neighborhood. So if you like slow Latin mood music this might be the album for you. Not for me. 2 stars.
