Since I subscribed to rdio.com I get to sync music from the website onto my iPod. That means I can listen to albums at work without streaming them over the internet. My project should continue at a much advanced pace.
Now, Pornography by The Cure - Less music than it is sound effects played over chords. Another band that has picked a sound they like and stuck with it- in this case, a wailing, whiny Englishman with an echoey voice spewing out some dark thoughts. I'm definitely getting redundant in noting the redundancy of the sounds on these albums. I also wonder why the album is called "pornography". None of the lyrics are particularly memorable, so I'm not sure if sex was even a topic of any of the songs. Was it my fault for not listening so intently? Or the singer's fault for boring me so much that I didn't really care what he was saying. As usual, I didn't hate it. 2 stars.

Amy S - I think sometimes music is about environment and mood. Some things should never be listened to at the office. Some songs need to be played as loudly as possible, and some are only good on rainy days.
Me - I play music pretty loud at work and no one complains. My earbuds must contain the sound pretty well. 80s music just annoys me no matter the situation.
Amy S - I am not saying you should listen to "the cure" loudly. I am just saying different moods for different music...
